What we do not take on at JPW Mediation Advisory

  • We do not act as legal representatives or issue proceedings on your behalf, so if you need an advocate for an employment tribunal claim, you will want a solicitor rather than a mediator.
  • Cases already before a tribunal are declined unless both sides agree in writing to pause and attempt mediation first.
  • We do not take instructions from one party alone in a two-party dispute, because mediation only works when both sides come to the table voluntarily.
  • Matters involving live safeguarding concerns or allegations of a criminal nature are turned away and referred to the appropriate authority.
